- The Ageing Eye Conference took place at the Kunstmuseum Bonn, Germany from 20 - 21 March 2009. This Conference addressed the following issues:
- the limitation of knowledge of ageing eye diseases;
- the understimation of their socioeconomic impact;
- the poor understanding of their pathogenesis and
- the research fragmentation into their prevention and treatment within Europe;
