Education & Training

Young researchers play a special role in the field of Vision Research and Ophthalmology. It might be superfluous to mention this fact, but they are the next generation that has the biggest role to play in transforming the life sciences in Europe. They have a natural tendency to think out-of-the-box, to target frontier challenges, to invest energy in high-risk research, and to understand and embrace new trends. Whilst there is a good offer in medical education only few quotes are provided for young basic researchers. EVI wants to close this gap by specific target singular events. Highest priority is given to increase the cross-fertilization talk between young clinicians, clinical scientists and basic researchers.

The EVI firmly believes in nurturing and developing the expertise of these young scientists, ensuring they are not only able to conduct research independently, but that they are also role models for the future of our field.
