In order to perform clinical trials in ophthalmology there is need to use Reading Centers for evaluation of ophthalmic images from the screening process, through all follow-up visits of a clinical trial.
There is need in Europe to have an organized network of Reading Centers in Ophthalmology.
The EVI.CT.SE Network is fostering the development of the European Ophthalmic Reading Center Network (EORCN).
EVI.CT.SE has created 20 Organizational SOPs for the Reading Centres. They are a common way of organizing and working together in a Network. They are provided for free to the Reading Centres that qualify to belong to the Network in order to be adopted and implemented.
